Worn wheel bearings

Post by zagan »

How can you tell if the wheel bearings are stuffed?

atm I'm geting this bad noise from the front left wheel (I think) it's like a moaning noise not grinding, more like shearing type noise.

like something is rubbing together.

hard to explain.

jack your vehicle up on said side and grab tyre at top and bottom and shake it to check for movement. then try grabbing tyre at 3 and 9oclock and do the same etc

there should be no movement at all.

check your brake pads while your at it..
