GQ diff spool difference

Post by Freakazoid »

I did a search and also asked our local ARB agent the following question. Is there a difference between the spools and or shafts on the GQ diffs between the LSD and the factory locker? ARB state the same diff for the H233B, be it with the LSD or with the factory locker. A mate put a ARB into the diff with the factory locker and he reckons the one side shaft is too long to fit. Another mate put the same ARB into a LS diff and he reckons the shaft only goes into the locker by 15mm. Are these guys installing wrong or is there actually a difference in the shaft length and or spool dimensions?

Cheers thanks. Is the fact that the shaft on the vac locker is shorter a problem. I mean if it does not stick in so far have guys been twisting the end off or stripping splines?
