Zook alternator

Post by purefmx »

After the re-assemble i plan on running the following lighting...
Forward:-
x2 Narva 8" Bull Pencil Beams (150W)
x2 Narva 8" Bull Spread Beam (150W)
x2 55W Deep Water Lights mounted adjacent to front windshield
x2 55W Rear Mount
x3 55W Halogen Rock Lights
aswell as all the other electrical components, radios etc
Has anyone ever overloaded their factory zook alternator (85 1.3) and if so replaced with what???
Or better yet, bogger ran dual alternators, anyone else ever done this and again if so which make/model of alternator?

I run/ran hella bulls almost identical to the pic and with those, headlights & 2 shitty rock lights drawing power there wasn't enough juice left to turn the starter (Click click click).

Had to switch off my lights befor cranking, I have a larger battery know but haven't really tested to see if its any better.
