Dont know what engine your car has, but my parents XJ (4.0 inline 6) had a very annoying oil leak near its oil filter (drivers side). Anyway it turned out to be the oil pressure sensor, had a small crack in it and was pumping engine oil out through it. Cost some exorbanant amount to replace as no-one had a generic alternate, so had to go genuine. BTW there was no noticable difference in oil pressure, as it was a hairline crack.
Wheeling on completely wicked angles, without even looking stable.

If so not looking forward to that bill oh well. Hope this more info helps the mechanic cant get it in for another 4 weeks. The oil leak is only small and I have not noticed any change in oil pressure . thanks guys
