ok, so i recently bought a 1986 rangie, 1" Spring spacers, 2" Spring lift, 2" Body Lift, Rear Maxidrive, Gas, 34" Jungle Trekkers. i was rapped.
I Stacked it on the way home into a pole... ouch... wrote off the toy, and my '94 classic rangie. i repaired the classic and put it back on the road. now im trying to get something happening.
i bought a 1987 Hiline from Bathurst with a 10,000Lb Warn winch on it. now im putting it all together, so not only do i have a garage full of spare bits if anyone wants anything. but i have a few missing bits, like shock absorbers , does anyone know what i should put on this thing to get the most articulation out of the axels. any help is appreciated. thanks

80 series front shocks on the front, you'll have to raise the turret abit.
GQ rears on the rear, you'll need to make a pin-eye converter and raise the top shocker mount abit aswell.
you may not have to raise the turret and mount seen as you run coil spacers, a tape measure will tell.

Hi,
Shockers - you could look at long travel Bilsteins from Les Richmond in Thomastown. I don't have them but a lot do. I'm using some sort of yellow Monroes that came with a body I did a transplant with. They have a larger shaft dia. and a longer travel than stock. Look like truck shockers and work fine on and off road.
Still using stock mounts, but reamed out the holes so I could use Toyota style bush cups which are gal and much thicker metal. Stops the dreaded creeping mount hole prob with the lower mounts / angle change caused by a lift. (2" in my case)
You may have to increase brake line length, especially rear with extra artic. Clutch and Brake in Geelong will make up hoses for about $38 each and don't care if they're 2 or 3" longer.
It may already have extended brake lines with that lift - but probably not.
