Almost anything is possible, but I would agree with Mightymouse, a rotary would be very useful so long as fuel range and consumption wasn't a huge issue.

Whilst most people would probably say a 13B turbo, I think I'd go a series 4 13B (the 6 port EFI motor) and auto, mostly because it won't destroy a suzuki driveline

Stock 13B efis do similar numbers to a 4Agze but take up less space, will sit lower in the car (lower COG) and require no intercooler piping, cut bonnets etc. the biggest problem I can see would be keeping it cool

I think the Auto for this model was an AW-4 of some description so could be set up in a similar way to a vitara AW4 to a vitara/hilux/or sierra transfer as required.

Haven't done it though. There was a 13B turbo buggy at the last OzRock round with a Sierra bonnet - very impressive packaging.

dude you ask heaps of questions that with a bit of a look are already answered . The continued asking of these questions will just mean people will ignore you. Heard of the boy who cried wolf

I understand your point Graham, and I get sick of answering the same questions day in and day out, but having said that, if no rehashes of old questions were admitted then we shoudl lock the board at about september 2004 so noone can post a question, because they will have all been covered by then

The fact is that ideas and equipment progress, and so do peoples experience which makes an "old" question new or more relevant than finding an old thread from 2003 from some guy who used to go 4WDing about how great his car is.

If Boner had posted "why doesn't anybody use anything other than Toyota engines" (which was essentially his question) would you have bitten his head off then?

It's OK though Graham, just keep it up and you won't have any annoying newbie questions to complain about. Outers already has a reputation for being aggressive, if you want to keep the board fresh, you'll just have to put up with the odd rehashed question.

more to do with the fact he is bombarding the board with constant questions that is just coming across as no research that's all. Also the wording of the question was very basic, why not say that he was interested in seeing if people had discovered any new engine types other than the tried and true like has been covered on the board before.

It carries more info, shows that he has undertaken some research himself and shows interest in forwarding the info spread on here. The more details people give the better responses they receive which in turns furthers the quality of the board for everyone.

Did you actually read what i wrote or like most people just read between the lines and make of it what you will.

Never said I was smart what I did say for the slow people down the back was make your questions more detailed and you can expect better answers. Your question like your other ones are usually very brief and wishy washy. If you and others made them more detailed you would get better answers.

Again never said leave the forum but if you read that in any of my replies then go for all i care if that is your level of comprehension

look at my answer to his question simple questions get simple answer if he wants more details he'll ask but that will come with time i dont know the guy but if he is asking simple questions then i guess his knowledge is limited so was mine before i asked and played with my toys so my questions are a little more detailed.
not taking side not phased either way if i am not in the mood for simple questions i dont answer but if no one ever answered my questions in the past on here and in the real world i'd be driving a plastic over priced peice os recycled crap instead of building my own toys
each to his own

to post or not to post that is the question

25 posts but bugger all tech
Each person involved has a good point, this is why I lurked without posting for years so eventualy most of my questions got answered and I didnt get flamed :D
Notice they smiley face there is on anger in this post, it does get a bit hard to tell how to take some messages and is there anything "between the lines"
I understand some questions make you roll your eyes but I just dont reply or suggest to search along with some help to the question.
After all isnt the whole point of the forum to "chat' with others that may have more eperience/knowledge than yourself.

I did a datsun a15 with auto conversion as it was suppose to be cheap. After sinking over $3000 into it it wasnt what I wanted/needed so I spent $500 and had a 1600vit in and running, should have done it first. If you dont have the skills (I didnt) its better to do what you know works rather than somthing different just to be different.

I always thought a busa engine would be a sweet conversion too. I guess the problems would be gearbox adapters (cant use the bike's box-no reverse) and the price. They're pretty exxy.
Still, would be a cool and different conversion.

you could always do what the drag boys do cut the gearbox off and weld the motor back together and then make it fit but it would cost a arm and a leg to do.boner
