If you do a search and get to many answers try removing one of the words , for instance on this one i searched for "Outback challenge zook "
i got 2886 answers, by removing the zook it norrowed it down heaps ;)

I saw a write up in 4x4monthly about the OBC and all it had were two really average pics of the two thai zooks and no tech whatsoever. I think everyone was a little pissed that 1. foreigners won it, 2. They won in a zook.

Maybe check the comp forums there might be something in there about them

Would they have won if the other 1/2 of the event was run? ;)
Well I'm guessing that they didn't think everyone would carry on like a big bunch of sooky girls over it like they have........
I understand basic setup was 3SGTE celica GT-4 engines, bundera diffs. They were running "God Winch" setups (driveshaft powered winches) but I am unsure if they were using the full GT-4 gearbox/transaxle or not. One of the photos I saw seemed to indicate they were using a transaxle with one output driving the transfer and the other driving the winch.

Apparently top speed is around 95km/h at 7500rpm  which is part of the problem if the event ran full length - the speed sections would have killed them- too slow.
They are very technically interesting though- I am not interested on whether they were legal/illegal/should/shouldn't have won though. I have been frustrated that I haven't seen more photos/info. I think some of that will be due to the "controversy" over the result.

they moved bru21 on this board though - he is working on a 3SGTE powered jimny for OBC.
