GPS Nght Run in Brisbane?

GPS Nght Run in Brisbane?
At a recent Logan Club Meeting we discussed the possibility of setting up a GPS Night run. This more than likely wouldn't be on the same night as our normal monthly night run but on a seperate weekend. Im now just trying to guage how many people would be interested in this. As there is a fair amount of work in setting this up and the people that are willing to do this really dont want to set it up and then only get a few people turn up.
This run would be suitable for a stock vehicle. Its not a typical extreme run that Logan Districts are renowned for. All competitors would be required to have a GPS and know how to use it. There would be no map supplied for this run only GPS points.
If you feel you may be interested in a Brisbane based GPS run then please vote Yes above. If there is enough interest then we will look further into this.
PLEASE DONT VOTE IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE BRISBANE AREA AND WOULD NOT ATTEND THIS EVENT. IM REALLY TRYING TO GET VOTES FROM A TARGET GROUP.

This type of event would be great for someone that has never really used their GPS before and will be great practice for people doing or wanting to do OBC or the 8 Day.BIG GQ wrote:This puts me out then unless I can get somebody in the passengers seat that knows what they're doing with itRUFF wrote:know how to use it. I find these type of events are some of the best fun. If you have only given it a bit of a thought and then gone nar, do yourself a favour and say yes, you will not regret it and it will be great fun.
One thing I like about these events is they give you a good look around areas you normaly would have never gone to. I now know of heeps of tracks that I would have never known about if I hadn`t started doing nav based events.

nav runs of some description or form,on a regular basis,& we are
missing out would be great to touch up skills,in a not so competitive
scene,so we arnt so rusty when we head south,I would be keen to help

Count me in. Definitely good practice for OBC and Cliffhanger. Better to practice before comps rather than learning new things in the middle of a comp. Also heaps of fun.
There is no substitute for cubic inches.

I agree with Linc , I would go to learn how to use the GPS to its full Potential , then maybe I can put way points on the Park signs and after we all learn how to use the GPS we can all get lost her in a whole new way. LOL.
Great idea Tony , I would be in , esspecially if it involves learning more.......
