80 series help please
hi i have a 93 80 series with a 1fzfe it will not rev over 2100 rpms does any one have any ideas it drives fine until i hit 2100 rpms then the motor cuts out it doese not stall it just cuts out
Yep, 99.9% sure it will be your TPS (throttle Positioing Sensor). You need to seal it up with a tube a silicon. Did you just give your engine a wash? Is your dual Fuel?
I had this exact problem when I first got my 93 80Series. I would splash through some water and it suddenly wouldn't rev past 2100rpm, drop to idle, nearly stall and then kick back up to 2100rpm again. The next day it would be fine as it would have dryed out buy then. I found that it only happened while running on petrol and NOT LPG so that ruled out a few things.
Good luck.
