Painting a Galvanised trailer

Paint on my trailer is pretty fawkt, and needs re-doing

Is there any special prep/paint/primer/stuff need to do to paint Galvanised things?

Anyone in Melb paint things cheap :D

you didnt put a base coat of primer first?

Trailer was painted when I bought it... now its chipping off everywhere, looks poo, so want to tidy it up a bit... its Gal under, so all is ok there.. :)

id probly run a sanding disc 80grit over it try not taking all the gal of it,
base coat it with etch primer, and a good 1-2 coat over that ,

just what im thinking i havent done too much with wet paint , i did 2-3 years in the powder coaters kinda different area there, got away from all that now < nearly boilermaker

use hi-chem etch primer from super cheap. there is NO better primer for zinc. I have used all the top brands and still buy this cheap stuff
