MM may have more insight, but that's my take. Not sure on input shaft spline/length though- might need a suzuki input shaft.
PS if you actually had a factory feroza AW-4 auto, why try and bolt a suzuki motor to it? just buy a suzuki front cut and then you will have a suzuki motor, aw-4 auto and a transfer you can put crawler gears in. (beware, they are long though compared to Daihatsu stuff)

Actually the work looks good and I'm keen to see it out soon plus putting a Daihatsu badge on a Sierra still doesn't mean you're driving a Daihatsu does it MM.

The zook AW4DE Belhousing will bolt to a Feroza auto/transfer, but there is a slight difference in converter length that might require spacing.
I had to add a 6mm spacer plate to go the other way - as I wanted to keep the zook converter but use a Daihatsu flex plate.
And Steve's right - the whole thing was driven from the transfer end - wanted crawlers, so change t case, then need a transmission to bolt to the tcase, well a A44DE is a good trans that goes onto a Vit tcase etc etc, and then how to get it onto the engine, use Feroza auto belhousing...
But be very aware that the A44D or DE is substantially longer than a
stock Feroza transmission - not a problem with a Feroza transfer ( output is much lower than a Vitara ) but requires a lot of re-engineering with a Vit one. Nice thing is that you get to throw the stock Feroz engine and transmission mounts - I never want to see another broken mount.
Just put a Feroza auto in in the first place - doesn't fix the crawler issue
but would stil be better off road by a substantial margin.
And..... the 1600 Vit motor has no advantage over the HD so its not worth the effort IMO, if fact there are more options with the Daihatsu ( DeTomaso ).

and then there is no point using the feroza trans controller - get the whole shebang from an auto 2L vit and it will drive properly. If you already have an auto 'roza, you can use the output shaft or whole core from the AW-4 and drive it with the vitara TCC - this will properly control converter locking etc with the added torque of the 2LAJFeroza wrote:I'm thinking more about the 2l Vit motor....
