Panels are 0.8mm Alloy....White Panel.. weigh 6.9Kg per sheet...
Theres 8.5 Sheets down each side & the equivalent of 12 for the roof & rear door...
And another 2-3 for the front section...
All up it will weigh under 10 ton....

Been a few years since travelled to Brissy and with improvements to the Pacific Hwy we are looking at options. Travel route from Windsor, Sydney to LCMP using "whereis mapping" looks like similar travel time either using the Coast road or the New England Hwy.
Anyone travelled both routes and compared time ?
If we did come via Tenterfield there is a couple of options when we get to Toowoomba. What would be the quickest - up through Hampton or across through Helidon.
Wont be towing anything.
Anyone ?

if you come New England probably the best way to come would be through Warwick and along the Cunningham Highway towards Ipswich..turn off at Willowbank/Amberley on the Haigslea-Amberley road i think it is then head out to the Warrego Highway via Walloon turn right at Highway then left onto the Esk Valley highway and head to kilcoy that way..there is a back way through once on the Esk Valey Highway just after Fernvale you turn off and head towards Somerset Dam through the back ways..i have towed through there before and it saves about 20mins or so towing..otherwise just follow the signs to kilcoy and then head out to jimna
if going Coast road and you come over the Gateway if you hit peak hour traffic from say 4pm till 6pm the Gateway will be absolutely packed
Thanks for the tip Dave. We are intending to leave approx 6.00am Friday so that would put us right in the middle of peak hour. Looks like New England it is.
Cheers
Shaun
