What was the last mod you did to your 4x4?

Post by N*A*M »

I extended my front upper bumpstops (40mm) and steering stops (10mm). I know 40mm is a big extension but that was because that's all the scrap metal i had around that was conveniently sized. Now it jarrs hard when I hit a bump but at least I have cured my tyre scrub. I haven't really minded the reduced maximum steering angle. The JT2s drive pretty well at 100kph.

Hiya Guys,

My 4BY is currently getting a respray, then it gets new bars made (front, rear and roll - 3" Polished Alloy.

Then I gotta do suspension, trying to go really big and keep it legal is quite hard, specially in QLD...

Then Rims and Tyres.

Last real MOD was the Safari Snorkel.

Most recent activity has been to completely strip out all the seats and mats and give her a top to bottom cleanout. It was pretty scary seeing was was under the mats and I found and patched a few of the factory holes that were letting water etc seep in and dampen the under-felt. Pleased to find that there was ZERO rust in the floorpan  In the process of detailing the truck and tidying up all the little odd jobs that need doing.
