I got my 60 a few years ago, and from the measurments, i guestimated it had a 3" sus lift that has saged to about 2.5", and I had to put a 2" body lift to stop it scrubbing around normal corners on the road when running 35" pedes, and even now I still scrub on more serious artic situations offroad.

Are you sure you drive a 60? You are't confusing it with a suzuki are you? I have pics of mine flexing up with 33" and no scrub. I got scrub with 35" on a mates. Agree with last post... I put 2inch extended shackles in mine to give minimal lift, and still scrubbed with 33's.... just had to take a lumpy to the front corner where it was scrubbing on the bolt head. When in doubt..... UTE-ERIZE it!!!
I had 35x12.50x15 BFG Mt's with 2" raised springs and 1" lift shackles and they rubbed just driving along the road. 2" bodylift fixed that.

I wouldn't mind a skid steer loader but alas I am in a sixty series. However, in light of this thread, I am starting to wonder about the consistency of 60 series cruisers. I definitely had no spring lift and 33" were fine; in fact the 35" pedes would have fit on with a little scrubbing. Anyway, none of this answers the guys question.
Mate, if you are still reading this rubbish, I would just go find someone with the size tyres you want and borrom them for a few hours to see.

Having said that, I think the rims are probably not the correct offset for a 60. Correct offset rims may solve (or reduce) the problem.

With Standard Springs in my 60 i would have had no hope in hell of fitting 33's (Keep in mind at the time these where the original 22 year old springs).
After a 2" OME lift, and 33 x 12.5 x 15" Cooper St's i still get a little bit of scrub on the rear wheel arches.

fellas- the 60 series is actually designed to take a 33 inch tyre- before you start flaming me, check your speedo with a GPS- if you are running 31s, you will only be doing 95 when your speedo says 100. if you are running 33s, your speedo will be less than 1km out. i got this information from this forum from some other 60 owners when i did the tyre swap. it has something to do with them also being released with 33 inch equivalent 16 inch split rims i think? i can find the post if anyone is really that concerned.
SO- your tyres are probably scrubbing because they are too wide, not too tall. 33x10.5 will not scrub. 33x12.5 probably will- the 12.5 wide is a much more common tyre size, but you can get 10.5s and fats are just for show anyway

Not quite correct, in my case anyway. When I went to 35" tyres, my speedo was out by 20% according to a GPS. Therefore in theory my 60 was geared for 205R16 tyres (roughly 29") which is what my owners manual says it came with. Also according to my owners manual the G packs came with 205R16 tyres and the base models came with 7.50R16 or roughly 32" tyres. I can't explain how the speedo can be correct for both size tyres. Maybe there is a different gear drive in the gearbox?
Back to the original uestion. I just put my 33x10.5x15 tyres back on. I changed my suspension around and now have OME springs front and rear, removed the extended shackles. I also have a 2" bodylift. 35x12.50x15 work with this set up. 34x10.5 would be a breeze.
