I had to push start my car today!!!

Post by Big D »

Yeah i was at uni and i came back to my car, tryed to start it and nothing but a click. Turns out i left my lights on  I was kinda worried for a second cuz i have no credit on my fone to call racq. Then i relized that my car only weighs 950kg (somin like that). So i began to push my car, up a speed bump first, then we got faster and my suzi almost got away from me before i jumped in  and off we went. Kinda made me relize why i bought a suzi and why there such awsome cars.

Well, that made my day so i thought id post it here, dont know why though...

Myself and a workmate (Sharkey on these forums) pushed my Sierra up a carpark ramp after I stalled it (doh) getting a ticket through the boomgate. Was about a 10% gradient which doesn't sound like much til you're pushing dead weight up it :)

If you're at UQ, just call security, they'll come jumpstart you faster than RACQ can get there...

The only time my battery died on me, I was parked in shopping centre carpark, that was 100% level, at 4am. Anyone know how to deal with this situation (besides jump starting that is)??? Difficult problem to solve to my mind (I eventually called dad to jump start me, I cheated).

Yes and No.

Yes I saw them about it, had a good discussion with Graham. No I didn't go back to get it, yet. I have nothing against it, I had organised to take dad down to check it out (I cannot fibreglass due to health reasons); and the washing machine died that morning, so he 're-prioritised'.
