would like to know what they are like on fuel as im looking at buying one im after a kakadu model, just want to hear what people who have one say dont want to ask someone who is selling one as they might not give an honest answer......

My auto 3.4 prado is eating around 20ltrs per hundred kms, I would hate to pay for the V8 fuel :shock:

the 4.5 gets 450K from the main tank. 700k including subtank

mine vary fom 12.5 - 15l/100km depending on what fuel i use and

21-27l/100km towing a 3.5t trailer from Brisbane to Sydney

and you can maintain 100km /h up most hills

we have a large quantity of these in our company ( v8 petrol 100+ series cruisers )


It really does depend on how you drive them..

we do lots of high way mileage and found that if your nice 12.5- 14 on average..on the high way.

If your keen to get from a to b double it ! 28k /100

round town 20-23/100

towing / mud / sandwork go as high as 37-39 / 100

is there a big diference in power between the 4.5 and 4.7v8
