Does anybody have pics of toyota front axel on feroza?
I'm interested in pictures of the steering box, panhard etc...
I know that Toyhatsu made such a mod, but can't find the pics.

The only axle front and rear i know is from the GWAGEN that a Feroza has in Greece (i cant find him for more details)
Why you dont use an axle from a ROCKY??? As far as i know it fits with the feroza gearings

I wonder what happened when he put the Gwagen axled one in 4WD?
Gwagen's spin their front drive shaft "backwards" and if used with anything other than a Gwagen transfer, the front axle will turn backwards when in 4WD.A Gwagen has a MASSIVE transfer case that's also divorce mount - getting it into a Feroza would be a challenge.
I'm not aware of a "kit" to run a live axle. The only live axled feroza I have ever seen was Besty's which ran hilux, but also had a commodore V6 and auto, hilux steering box and other pretty major modifications. It was also quite tall.
When I have looked at the feasibility of live axle on a feroza it has always looked like the car needed to be too high IMHO.
Mightymouse's car, with increased track width, does prove that the front IFS can me made to travel well.

Whilst its sort of off topic, a live front axle seems to be a lot of work, without solving what I consider to be the major problem - gearing, and no rear locker.
I am just not convinced that its higher up than about No. 6 on the major to do list.
1/ Auto
2/ Gears
3/ Rear Locker
4/ Front locker
5/ More power - and that mostly for highway driving.
6/ live front ????? or long(er) travel IFS

Well i havent seen tha G wagen Feroza closely so as fas as i know he has the trasnfer of Feroza and swaped the engine with a Toyotta 2.7 litr. He says that know can work like a real 4x4 car.

I'm guessing 5.7 something diff ratios and lockers, plus they're relatively narrow so easy to fit.
Flipping the diff centre would make it heavily foul the tie rod. I guess it's possible but, wow, that's a lot of work.... Merc don't do things by 1/2's so I guess the tubes wouldn't fall out

I suppose if you had them, that would be a start, but it seems an expensive base on which to start. Which side do they drive to ?
I just wonder why not something more "obvious" like lux stuff. For the weights involved would seem strong enough, Ratios and lockers available.
They also fit under.
Are lux's in Europe like GWagens here - rare ?

Here we have a lot of military Gwagen that are sold very low. Toyota Hilux with front and rear axle cant find (only if you buy the hole truck). But yes its a very strange how he did fit the GWAGEN axle. When i learnd about it i will inform you.

Nope, not dead yet. I haven't been here in a long while. I got a notice about a thread that I was watching years ago and found that there were PM's about axle swaping.
That is some OLD pics of me truck. It is still on the road and doing well every day. It now sits on 35's, is 3 linked in the front, 2.7L, dual xfer cases etc.
I did run the Toyota axles (5.71:1) and Daihatsu engine and transmission for years.
I'll get some piccies together and try not to be a stranger.
