custom offroad should have em.

arb if you like to lose money and wait for a special order.
or go to the alloy joint in kawana industrial and they make them up for $4 a block, then you need to drill them.

cheers mark.

from memory the plastic ones can be complianced if they use a metal sleeve inside the hole.

Even if you can pass compliance with plastic, why would you bother?

Just go to Capral and them to cut some ally rod for you at the size of your choice and drill them yourself. Then off to a bolt place for the right length of bolt.

Well, that is what I did anyway.

hey mark...

theres an aluminium joint in kawana (forget the name) that sold me half a metre of 60mm solid aluminium, cut them to 8x50mm blocks for my shorty (obviously more for a wagon) with a timber drop saw and fine cut blade (timber). then off to the bolt shop and got the high tensile bolts.
aluminium - $50
bolts - $30

Heh one of the dumber things I ever did was try to cut the first lot of ally blocks myself with a supercheap metal drop saw. What a mess, those grinder type blades are good for steel but they just clog up with ally... one block and I'd had it, it was easier to pay for the cutting at the ally place. Then on another occasion I happened to go there on a quiet arvo and they cut 'em for nothing, just paid for the ally.

So cutting them yourself can be a bitch but drilling them yourself is easy if you have a pedestal drill or a good eye.

Wow, that sounds really good... are they 'typical' prices??? I rang around a bit (obviously not enough), and ended up getting acetal rod (65mm) and steel tube. That cost about $85ish, then I spent ages cutting it up and fitting the tube in the acetal.
