This looks fantastic - I just brought one of these (V6 AWD) and I am very encouraged by your pics. It looks like it will do every thing i want it to. Traded my TD5 on it. Loved the TD5 but hated the repair bills. Plus 5 years warrantly on the Tucsan can't be sneezed at.

Jus a question Ed. Did your Tuscan develope diff resistance / lock up (binding up in the rear diff) when in 4x4 lock at low speed when turning on lose surfaces.
Mine is and i am a bit concered about it. The hyundai rep is to have a look at it next week.

Hey mate I did not have that problem.
Is yours lifted? Warranty seems to be good with Hyundai so you shouldn't have a problem getting it replaced.

Hi Ed. No lift kit, mine is completely stock.
Completely different than my previous vehicals but suited pretty well for what i do these days. Anyway, thanks for replying. I will post and let you know how i get on

yeah def let us know how it goes.
they are generally well built.
I had no rattles even after all the corrugations and stuff I took it through.
Does anyone know somewhere that does suspension lift kits for hyundai tucson and weather or not its would be a custom job or if there is an aftermarket accessory

I know what you mean. It's cheap and cheerful.
It might be useless compared to a proper 4wd off road, but the competition is no better. The difference is you didn't plonk down serious cash for it, cash that could have bought a proper 4wd.
And I say it's only as soft as the person driving it. It's got a v6, so drive it hard.
The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.
When I have my tucson lovell springs made me up a set of springs to lift the tucson 40mm so now it would be a listed item with them I kept the orignal shocks as there were no replacements at the time. The car was awesome on road with the new springs and it didn't affect comfort at all
here is a pic of the car the day I picked it up after lift was installed
all the other pics up top had a car full of camping gear, fridge etc.
some times I miss the old girl I flogged it for 45000kms (that was in one year) and it never missed a beat. It was a great road trip car fun to drive on tar great on dirt roads limited on harder stuff but still fun trying
The pics of me in the river and climbing the big hill are in high country, the other poser pic is in the grampians, the beach is stockton on a day that the sand was soft and it didn't overheat or lose 4wd at all.
