Head Lubricant for LPG Question?

Post by petri »

Gents, a friend is looking at buying a patrol.
It's on gas and has a little bottle of oil stashed in the front of the engine bay that feeds into the head. The guy selling it says he has no idea if the head has been done for gas any other way and i have never seen this bottle setup before..

Can anyone advise me if this is a reliable way to deal with the problems gas has on heads?...

its a messy insurance policy for engines/gas systemss that are not kept in good order.

Its just a fuel system lubricant basically, like the stuff you chuck in unleaded for a car that was not designed to run on unleaded.

its what we call flashlube, aka valve saver. just a upper head lubricant that is a drip feed to help keep the top end lubricated as LPG is a dry fuel. "helps" but does not rectify valve issues..

cheers :D
