Maybe soak it with Lanolin (roothy style) and see if it gets the dust out and starts working.

My column has slight movement also so i think its quite standard.

my whole column goes up/down around 10-15mm so it seems a lot....

I have poured CRC and Lano down the end, with no results, I need to pull it apart

or swap the sprayer to the rear one...

With the loose steering column there should be a couple of bolts that secure the upper part of the column to a bracket under the dash. These bolts might be loose. You'll probably have to take the plastic column covers off to see these bolts. Not sure about getting the left stalk covers apart to play with the wiper button but while the column covers are off you can just take the steering wheel off and remove the entire combo switch assembly and have a play on a work bench.

Make sure the steering wheel is straight before you take it off. :finger:

And before you take it off, check for some writing on the steering wheel saying something like "AIRBAG"

UNLUCKY!

Pov pack with airbags

So I am reluctant to remove the wheel, but it should not pose a real issue, I dont beleive, rather pull it on the bench...

I would say in a certain position with a good solid movement the outer button assembly would come off....

I will try it on the car, may pull the plastics off, reluctant as I know how much red dirt is gunna be under there

Yeah not a big deal. Disconnect negative battery terminal and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Just dont go stabbing any wires with a test light and you'll be sweet. BJ I doubt you'll be able to get that stalk apart without shattering it to pieces. Its just a spring sitting under that button but there are very thin wires running up inside the stalk that will easily get damaged. Might have to find a second hand combo switch and just throw it on.

yeah or you can:

1: wire another push button switch on the dashboard for the front washer.

or

2: wire the rear washer to the front washer so they both work at the same time off the rear washer switch that still works.

Here's a trick the GXL wiper/headlight combo fit straight onto the poverty pack, no extra wires and you get variable intermitant.
