Series 2 Disco - Chip - ????

Post by kurmitisgay »

I have a 2003 Disco TD5 and was wondering what difference a chip would make to power in my car, as well as is there more than 1 type of chip, and who makes/installs them?

Also what does it do to fuel economy.

Love to hear from anyone who has already done this.

Do a search on chips on this forum.

Bruce Davis do an ECU upgrade that is worth every penny. Should be the first mod you do.

Thanks heaps. Will give that a shot. Is there a major power increase or not?

Chip Upgrade

Post by stinger »

We had a Bruce Davis ECU upgrade done thru M&R Automotive in Redcliff, Brissy. M&R basically swapped our computer out with one of theirs, sent ours away to be upgraded, return and installed. This took us to about 140KW and made one hell of differnce, much better to drive and same economy.

Very happy with the money spent, some where just over the grand. WOuld recommend it for any TD5 Disco.

Tombraider from AULRO does remaps for under $500 and all reports are they work really well.
