Ok so go to test my clutch this morning, start it in gear clutch in car moves forward a tiny bit..

Try to take it out of gear couldn't for the life of me.. turned it off, started it in neutral clutch in went to go into gear and no go.. I have got it into gear a few times but it has been ramming it in..

If i get it in gear and let the clutch up it does grab but yeah I don't have the room to let the car get moving properly.

Im thinking I either need to add that spacer behind the throw out bearing, or swap over to a GU slave :?

i used the holden one from a VN, works sweet with a couple of little mods...
88 GQ SWB 5''SUS LIFT 60MM BODY LIFT, FRONT LOKKA, NOW WITH 304, ...... :D

Dunno if you saw what i wrote about the VT one. Either way they all seem to fit, just with diff mods. Mine was more a reroute of the cable, it fitted fine in the pedal.

Hi guys, I run a 5l, standard exhaust manifold d/s runs under g/box adapater. 10.5" holden clutch with a low rise pressure plate( got my slave cyl. m/c out to 11?16")... Petrol p/steer pump(made my own bkt. mounts on d/s).. Diesel radiator with el fans (gets warm when pegging it on the beach, sweet in the bush)..
Standard holden air con.pump standard bracket (doesn't hit a thing)..
HQ sump, VT throttle cable (don't know which 1 theres heaps of them)
All I bought of Marks was , engine mounts, adapter kit, speed sensor, (maybe tacho interface as well, can.t remember) you don't need the rest of the shit the tell you ..
mounted computer behind/above glove box all you need to do is cut a small piece out of top left corner.
Has been in the car for 2 years with no major problems

What has everyone else done for there fuel lines off the motor?

I ran mine into the original solid lines but they are pretty close the the manifolds.

Pics would really be appreciated :)

I bought some bright orange heat resistant sheathing from pirtek, not cheap and just slides over hoses, bout $40 1/2 metre from memory..

SO... after fitting it all in (clutch , engine and stuff likt that....) i started it up and tested the clutch operatin, i found that it would drag and not disengage properly, so i tried a few other things like extend the push rod length, i pulled the engine back out and put the spacer in behind the throw out bearing (just incase i measured it wrong ) it made no differance to the throw, so out come the enging for the 4th time and another phone call to marks was made, this time i got one of the higher ups in the company. i told him all the information about what i have done and the cluth which i used (Excedy sports clutch) its the same dimentions as a standard one just a heaver diaphram and different friction plate, he went through his computer( and i figure thay have a trouble shooting section about there products on it) and the end result was i need to put on a master cylinder from the gu on it, he gave me the part number for the genuine nissan one, i bought one , i fitterd it, I HAPPY :armsup:


with the power steering if its a TB42 you use your factory lines as the p/s kit from marks allows them to bolt back up, my ac compressor sits beside the chassie rail, but if you have the stronger panhard rod bracket on the chassie u will have to cut a little of it away so it will fit in properly,
had no other dramers with it so far every thing else fitted like it should have, had no troubbles since

I had to use the spacer and the GU master aswell, and that was with the clutch that marks supplied. Dont know what would have done if I was running a Excedy clutch.

I get about 16 -17l / 100km on the highway...
