This was also in the email from the TLCC

As you are aware the result announced on the night do need to be verified in the clear light of day and unfortunately, this year our final checks have resulted in a change to the successful team results. The error in final team scores occurred due to a misplaced score sheet. The affected teams - Southern Tablelands and Kamikaze have been notified. We apologise to these clubs , we understand their disappointment and appreciate their understanding.

Cheers

Hmmm, your right re TLCC...... Dont know what's going on there, also checked a 3RD PDF they sent with the team members listed next to each other and it also adds up to 2211.

Maybe these scores were before the update mentioned in my earlier post with quote.

either ive had too many bourbons tonight and cant add up or there was an error with my teams score too (just cruisin) ive added it up to 2036, but its listed as 2026, not that it really matters, 10 more points wouldnt of been enough to push us further up the list. scoring errors seem to happen at every event. i guess at the end of the weekend the scorers have punched so many numbers into a puter. its not hard to hit a wrong key. perhaps they shouldnt hold presentations. maybe all the score sheets should be triple checked and prizes and trophies sent out later. its pretty hard to take stuff back once its been handed out. i know for a fact its happened at the nissan trials before and they have had to give out more prizes at a later date after a dispute after the presentation. as long as humans are entering scores there will always be human error. yes we all like the presentation straight after the event. but we could live without it if it ensures all the scoring is 100% accurate. perhaps organising clubs could invite competitors to a presentation meeting a week or so later.
just my thoughts....

Not sure what is going on there: My scores above were added up off the marshalls sheet filled in on the day.

Not that it would have made any difference.

You just host it the same as any other file. Put it up on the (TLCC) website and then post its address here. For Example

Code: Select all

I was very disapointing to be told the news on monday especially after standing on the podium and receiving our trophies.

It was hard to give the trophies back but Southern Tablelands deserve the win as they got more points than us, congratulations to them.

I know all the TLCC guys work hard and put on a great event for us so we thank them and hope we dont have a mix up like this again next year.

Not sure if everyone is aware of (or allowing for) this:

The club score won't necessarily be the same as the individuals added together.

That's because only the best two scores from the boghole count towards the team total.

I believe Offroad Images (Mick Ellem) are hosting the photos. Should hopefully have a good one of me in my lifesavers cap there

The DVD was being shot by Australian Images.
