4.5L into a 4.2L GU petrol ?

any help,
I have a 4.2L efi motor in my 94 gq.
done 500,000 and still going.
but i have a 4.5L motor out of a 99 gu with stuff all km's on it.
thinking of putting it, but i do not have the wiring loom for it.
so a throught was put the 4.2L injetion manifold on the 4.5L
ploblem solved or not?

I was looking at the EFI manifold from the GQ and GU for a project .

I have a GQ Mav carby, The wreckingyard showed me both manifolds and it was obvious that the GU manifold would not fit on the GQ . Think you should evaluate swapping the GU motor over whole.

dont forget to keep your TB42 rods for your TB45, so you can boost it!

Nothing but you need to decomp the engine to put serious oost on and the TB42 rods allow for this

tb45 and tb42 rods have the same stroke.
tb45 are just alot weaker. that said there are a few guys on here putting good power thru dead stock tb45's with no legs out of bed as yet
