Hi all, I have a 2004 RA Rodeo V6, it's done 113000 Km's & now I need a new motor

from what I understood at the Holden dealer the catalitic converter's internals are crumbling & the motor creates vacume under deseleration, sucking cat particles & exhaust back into the motor, resulting in a stuffed motor. Has anyone had or heard of this hapening & how did you deal with the dealer over this ? Any info on this would be great, I need ammo to get the dealer to cover this
