Post by want33s »

I'm pretty sure this one was a hardtop. It looks pretty good I reckon. The waistline at the back of cab/top of tray looks a bit off but hey.....

using a solex carbi (standard one for motor) just have given it a HUGE clean up and blocked of alot of excess lines etc, found solder works realy well!!! you can also notice on top of it is a 1300 zook carbi top, thanks to brenno (spike sierra) for that! looks all good!! just going to run a pod on the snorkel

the radiator is actualy going to be sitting UNDER the front clip,
so i have cut off the radator cap/filler and made up a patch for it,
and the actual cap/filler is going on top of the thurmastat housing, hence the reason its not in the pic,
just waiting on my flat mate to get home with his map torch and some silver solder and i can finish that off,
im useing a 2ltr sigma radiator with a thermo on it,

left to do is...

throtle cable,
jack shaft,
fuel lines,
radiator hoses to sort out

yeah thats about it...

then i can wheel it!!!

BE UN INDIVIDUAL AND LEAVE IT SOLID
I reckon its being more original/different if you leave it solid mate, way too many rigs get chopped. Chopped is the new norm... :(

Another Spirt of effort today....
have to get a bit more wired in...
radiator top mounts are made,
drivers radiator hose made!

still to do

fuel lines.. top radiator hose...
jack shaft and throttle cable

so close.. yet so far!!

some update pics...

This is THE ONLY way i could work out to simply run a radiator cap...
as most people would know, for a cooling system to work properly there must be a filler point at the highst point!

alien wrote:i think you should carefully remove the rear door and weld that behind the targa bar, to give a proper cab... then using the back door from a softy, make the full ute in the back =)

so its a full cab, ute, but its all body... not a "tray" so to speak. That'd be nice!

well im actualy thinking i might do this!!!...
sorry i dont think i read your post b4!!!!
