had a new maxi drive locker instaled on my defender its always leaking without using locker leaks from bottom 2 bolts and if i tighten them then my diff is locked with switch off..

i dont understand it if any one has any idea please giv me some info

i cant help, but would say take it back to the installer and have it fixed.
ask there advice and if no help, ring maxi drive direct they will help you.

I suspect there is something wrong with the installation. The mounting plate and locking mechanism body should be sealed by goop etc, should not matter how tight you do up the bolts as it is the body not the mechanism that you should be tightening etc. Did you get the instructions with it? PM me and I can email you a copy, at least then you will know how the gear is built.

were abouts u from ? not very happy with instalation should have been done properly, from day 1 it leaked
