Hello all,
Today i bolted my turbo and manifold together for the first time and i realised how heavy they are together at around 19kg!!!!!
I plan on turboing my TB42 sometime soon (been saying that for ages) but wondering if i should brace the manifold to a lower part of the block?? The manifold itself is very strong an has its own bracing but i'm just worried about all this extra weight on my alloy head.
Has anyone had any problems with the weight? ie breaking exhaust manifold studs?

to help prevent any stress cracks and to reduce the strain on the exhaust studs it is a good idea yes to have an added brace (s) to help support the weight.Jimbo wrote:Hello all,
