Need Rocky Parts...

Post by Buggerific »

Any ideas where to get parts from?

I have had some issues getting parts even through daihatsu recently but I think thats mostly because the people who are working there aren't as bright as perhaps they should be...

What I need at the moment is a lower spring plate for the left-rear of my rocky but it looks like it will fit the Faroza plate. The plate that Daihatsu think is right for my car is actually not the correct one which is why I'm having issues.

Anyone know somewhere in Sydney that is currently wrecking one?

Cheers

You could try ALL MODELS 4X4 at revesby they have a lot of dai stuff but expensive.
I got an unleaded filler neck for mine the other day from a suzuki wreckers at st marys. they had 2 ferozas and heaps of rocky bits.
But you could try CARROL SPRINGS at smithfield. they do that sort of stuff got my new U bolts there.
But for genuine parts (not many left) i go to PETER WARRENs at warrick farm the old dude they is really cool.

Yeah mate, I'm not in a real hurry for it...

The one on mine is just bent on the shock mounting bolt and I want to replace it because I don't want to go offroad and have it take another hit and snap!

I'll see how I go because if I find somewhere that has a few parts I'll probably just buy some stuff as spares.

Where in sydney are you heading to?

Not sure yet...

Wouldnt mind getting a few of the lower spring plates, looks like they'll continue to take a beating... Not really sure what else yet.

Once I give my car a clean I'll have a better idea of what else I may have broken over the weekend, ha ha.

Have you got parts layin around or something?

Ha ha, too good...

What have you got left that you're trying to flog?

I'll probably need to replace one of my manual locking hub covers soon which of course means replacing the whole freaking hub...

Probably interested in any of the lower spring plates you have but especially rear-left for now...

I know my little tilt meter thing on the dash doesn't work. They're probably pretty easy to pick up from anywhere and relatively useless anyhow though...

Will be in the market for a new clutch soon too, but I'm not sure if thats something to even bother with second hand...?

I got pretty much everything bar a few bits and pieces that my mates want, and one engine.

when you want a new clutch email this fella http://www.ripperdeals.com/

I'm getting mine through him and his prices are pretty darn good.
