G,day boys,
I chasing some info on diff ratios.
I currently run 35" tyres with 4.11 diff ratios. I keen to look into 37"s.
What ratio wound bring this back (4.3/4.66) close to what I'm currently running?

what engine/car - daily driver, or weekend hack?
4.6 maybe better suited to a weekender.

I know you said the 4.1 are great with 35's however once you start winching you may ride your clutch more.. actually i change that YOU will ride your clutch to match wheel spin unless you put transfer gears in...
Go the 4.6 you going too loose out to much on low range for winching.....
Most of the the guys that run 37' or 35's still run 4.6 as the wheel speed generally matches up with the winch line speed its a little less on the 37s but not as noticable.
You just need to find someone with GU diffs and 4.6 get it all done at once....

if you want to keep it the same as it is now with the 35/4.1 then go 4.3, but I would suggest you find someone with a truck with 4.6's and 37s and go for a run... you would probably be happier in the long term with less strain on drivetrain, and other parts with 4.6's as well as a bit lower gearing.DanielS wrote:It's for my comp truck.
