Back Door

Post by Buggerific »

Hey guys,

Got another one for ya!

The rear door of my rocky is leaking from all around the top. The door is actually sitting away from the seal and the only adjustment on the latch i can see is on the car side. Far as I can tell you just loosen the two bolts and move the catch in any direction till its good, but that doesnt work.

By the look of it the top half of the door is quite flimsy and almost looks like it's just bent out slightly (possibly from having windows down driving down the freeway at 100km/h)

Has similar happened to anyone else... Is there a long term fix or do u have to keep bending the top half back in and probably risk snapping it off eventually?

Yep, common problem I think, Its happened to me. The hinges are adjustable, the holes on the body side are slotted.
Otherwise, go buy some self adhesive draught excluder, and put it on the body where the seal meets the body.

You can adjust the guide/support down the bottom.
Took me ages to get my back door right :x (no rattles or leaks)
Have a look in the manual on the warfs site.
