New Jeep Prices

Post by GV »

:?: Are prices for new Jeeps coming down :?:

I've been reading in the media about the US dollar and Aussie dollar exchange rates and we're sitting at around 92 cents today with forecasts that this figure will increase next month.

Media forecasts the increase due to expectations that the federal bank will be lowering US interest rates, while at the same time our reserve bank is expected to raise Aussie interest rates. I've heard some economists say the exchange rate will go as high as 95 cents.

I'm thinking that if new Jeep prices are adjusted to reflect the stronger Aussie dollar, then perhaps I should consider buying one.

no apparantly the vehicles price is figured out somewhat 18 months in advance so to take advantage of these prices you'd be looking at buying new in 18 months time

I have been quoted $44800 for a four door diesel auto
with renegade pack, from berwick jeep.
However have to wait till march to get the car.

Hi guys, the wife just bought a brand new Cherokee limited with pretty much every extra from the tubular side steps to the headrest dvd players for $47000.
Waited 3 weeks for the vehicle and picked it up 3 days before Xmas.

Perhaps you will start seeing "extras" thrown in and "special editions" like other manufacturers do rather than dropping the base price.

With the demand for the Wranglers exceeding the supply, I doubt we'll see any pricing relief or freebies with this model.
Unless of course they release an Unlimited - Limited Edition

Today's exchange rate is AUD$1 = USD$0.94.

It's predicted that in March, US interest rates will drop while Aussie interest rates will rise. If this happens, then it's likely that the exchange rate will stay in the mid 90's.

Some analysts are predicting 95 - 97 cents exchange rate.
