Vibration and leaking Aircon after new engine mounts??

Post by Fmx_Aus »

G'day,

Didnt really know where to put this topic, so just whacked it in here.

Took the VR Commodore to get a RWC yesterday, it failed and needed new engine mounts. So got them to do it today, just picked it up, got half way home and it started leaking Aircon water on my foot. Then the car starts vibrating bad at the lights. Put it in Neutral and it stopped, put it back in Drive and clunked into gear.

The bastards have knocked off work now and arent working tomorrow.

Anyone know what it is?? I'm guessing something loose. Not happy, ya get something done to ya car and it comes out 10 times worse then what it was.

Any info would be great.

Cheers

they fixed the problem, it just made another problem that wasn't noticable until now arise... nearly put money your gearbox mounts are cactus too, you didn't get vibrations before because the busted engine mount's absorbed it.

air con + water drops always nearly = the lines etc are not insulated properly.

Was the exhaust, because of the new engine mounts the exhaust didnt sit where it used to, just had to whack some new rubbers on it.
