ENGINE MOUNTS

Post by madprk »

Engine Mounts on a L28 and the Engine Mounts on a P40 are they in the same position on the chassis.

If not the same how much difference is there as need some advice.

I would like to put a P40 into a short wheel base MQ. If any one can let me know if possible that would be great. :)

firstly, WHY??? if ya gunna do an engine swap and wanna stick with mq engines, why not go the SD33???

2ndly, to my knowledge, the mounts do not change on the chassis between engine models.

3rdly, WHY???

I was half way through doing a motor swap for an injector ford 250 and auto when i got it in found that the tailshaft had no room and we need the car working by the 10Dec.

I have a long wheel base MK with perfect running P40 and 4 speed and thought i would do a direct swap if no difference in mounts.

It saves me buying a L28 or buying a complete MQ I will try and use what i have in my possession.

That is the only reason WHY as i need to get out of it cheap and quick before 10Dec
