i dont own a GQ but on my GU its on the right, under the cruise control switch and power window controls..
is it a left hand drive or right hand?

My GQ DX doesnt have a dash light dimmer. Is a 91 model yet my old 88 GQ ST had one so I dont think the DX came out with that option

Yah, the DX does not come with one (That I've found, have not really looked), my 88 does not have one.
