Rockcrawler Leaf Springs for Hilux

Has anyone got Rockcrawler Leaf Springs on their truck? I'm looking at replacing the rear set in my 95 Hilux with a set and was wondering if anybody has had good or bad experiences. They also have a 3 year/unlimited km warranty which is excellent.

Unless they have a length that requires welding a new front hanger on to the chassis they will never flex the way 90% of people want suspension to flex. To get the rear end of a hilux to flex the springs need to be longer both in front of and behind the diff.

Had them in my first lux (83) and thought they were shit. Far too stiff. Flexed about as much as any 2" lift would but pretty rad to drive on the road through all the bouncing. Shocks were Rancho. This is only useful if your lux is for road driving, and if ya want flex don't buy an off the shelf 2" lift.

i've got rancho 9000's up front and 5000's out back, i'm going to replace the front parabolics with new parabolics (about $380) but in the rear i want to be able to carry camping gear but still have good flex.

You'll find the parabloics ride hard over fast stuff road dirt tracks and so on but when it comes down the flexy stuff they'll be soft. My front end used to way out perform the rear now with RUF you can play around with it more and get it to even out but it depends how far you want to go.

RUF (rears up front) also moves the diff forward but also need xover and preferablly droped front hanger.

mix and match the leafs in the pack as well when doing the RUF. We have a lot of guys here running on Falcon wagon or ute leafs in the rear. Need to fab up new front hanger and weld onto chasiss, but artic is awesome for leaf spring, and ride is better as well.

For all the work you need to do to get leafs to flex well and drive well you may as well just go coils first off, I have learned this the long hard way.

this is fiddling lightning ect and shock experinment can do to a fairly standard setup, 2 inch leafs and using all angle of the shackle, will have more with a lil more fiddling.
