Cruise control & ABS with part time kit

Post by axle »

I have fitted a Marks part time kit to my Transfer case on my 97 4.5 80 series problem is that my cruise control wont work as the cruise is wired to the ABS on the computer. also is there a after market kit that would get my ABS going that any one knows of as I dont know how my insurance will go with out ABS :?

The ABS sensors are attached to the CV shafts, so as long as the CV's are stationary the ABS will not work.

I'm suprised the cruise control works off the ABS, as non ABS vehicles still used the VSS to run the cruise control. Perhaps you can find where the cruise obtains it's signal from the ABS and transfer that connection to the VSS?
