Compressor Mount
Where are people mounting air compressors in the vehicle. I just got an ARB unit and don't really want it under the bonnet. Any idea's, pics would be great!

hey mate, i had the same problem i have a dual cab lux, you have the room to mount it under the passenger seat dont you. is it used for air lockers. if not then under the seat is good. otherwise you look like you have a 60 series. put it in the back quarter panel in the boot i think they have covers over them the ones where the jack and shiz sits that comes off i think. that might help with some ideas.

netime mate, fill us in on how you go, the rear quarter panel is good coz it is accessible and yet still in a safe water and dust free area. make sure you mount it with the rubber boots tho or it will rattle like all hell. dont cover it up full either as they get bloody hot. make sure it has some sort of vented piece covering the hole.

iv got a 60, and i run a compressor under each of the front seats, they mount under there quiet nicly, a little noisey, but i also run an air tank (for the lockers), so once that is filled, the compressors dont come on again, untill, im pumping up my tires.

Wellll forgot about this one.
Two problems I have found with it here.
1/ Pulling the cover on and off has rooted the cardboard(?) where the black clips slide into.
2/ Over time the bottom of the support has rattled free. I'll re weld that sucker.

Did the supplied loom reach that far back into the quarter panel? I was thinking of doing something similar. To avoid wear and tear to the "cardboard" I was thinking of either replacing it with some aluminium checker plate or sourcing another "rear wiper washer fill lid thingy" (got no idea what it's called ). Anyway the thought was to bracket up the air connection nozzle here. When needed, take off the cover, plug the air hose on and you're in business (sounds good in theory anyway). what are your thoughts?

Loom made it nearly all the way. Just had to extend the pressure switch lines and the power line but it wasn't by much!
The bracket is an excellent idea. I had planned on placing say 6" of 1/2" hose behind the female coupler and have it coupled to the tee piece so I didn't have to fiddle around in there as much. Would make it easier and way quicker to hook my airline up too.
