improvements to safari dump pipe?

a mate of mine has GQ and is wandering if a 3in dump pipe would be an improvement to a safari turbo kit installed at least 3 years ago? Or is the dump pipe in the kit sufficient?

thanks for that bogged? would the 2.5 be standard accross the aftermarket turbo kits? would there be a gain from 2.5 to 3? i just put a 3 on my GU and from standard im loving it :D
