(eBay) intercooler for SD33T in SWB

Post by 84mksd33t »

i am looking to boost/fuel my SD33T to around 14-15psi and I require a decent sized intercooler.

Have any of you guys had experience with the eBay intercoolers and which would be best for my application? In terms of lowest number of mods to be doen to get it to fit and as to what size fits behind the grill.

I do not mind trimming the grill.

This SWB will only really see beach work so being FMIC isnt a problem for me.

I am just after a cheapy.

Cheers,

Codes

Have you done any research about increasing the boost on the sd33t? From all my research, 14-15psi might end in a bad way... I wouldn’t go over 12psi myself.

Then again if you do it right (intercooler, oil cooler watch the egt, etc) then you might get away with it.

This is a good site http://www.binderbulletin.org/forums/fo ... e48ce1&f=5

But there are heaps of others (I have a whole favourites folder about it)

Good luck and let us know how it works out.

Owned an 84 model before this 85 model. Boosted that to 13psi, non intercooled 55rwkw and done 30,000ks no problems.

This one will only be at 12.5psi and extra fuel, nice front mount. Just want to get a little more guts out of it.

Im thinking of http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CoolingPro-550x1 ... dZViewItem
and cutting out my front grill to suit, would look the goods and be quite efficient.

cheers,

cody
