cheap tyre changing machine on ebay

Post by Mark2 »

Found this on ebay:

Not sure how portable it would be given it needs to be bolted down...

Anyone got one/used one? For the money, it looks like a handy thing to have in the shed if it worked................http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Tyre-Changer-Car ... dZViewItem

It does look handy if it was bolted down.

Other thing is you would need a huge space surrounding it to be clear to turn the bead dislocator as well as a second person to push and hold the bead down into centre well.

It looks like it's a 2 person only job for that without the static dislocator and motor to turn the wheel.

It's SNAKE OIL!

Just my thoughts.
I'm the sharpest tool in the shed!

I hear what you're saying but Tyrepliers (well known Australian brand)
has a very similar concept which sells for about $700

Cant see much difference between the two machines.............

As long as the quality is good it will work fine. They are a one man job and work perfectly. I have used similar to change hundreds of tyres in the past. This is just a copy of a typical old school tyre changing tool.

Lots of the fabricated stuff coming out of China now seems to be of reasonable quality. Theres quite a few workshops around here now using Chinese hoists, engine cranes, transmission jacks, etc. I'm getting less and less wary of Chinese stuff these days although you still have to be careful......

most decent manufacturers from here and everywhere are going to china to produce and with aussie mentality they make them build the stuff to a certain quality wich is alot better than before
WHEELERS FABRICATIONS, DUEL CAB + EXO CAGE. 4"SUSP 2"BODY 35" CLAWS, TWIN LOCKED, BUILT 4 FUN
