Inverter question

Post by bj42turbo »

This is proberly a stupid question, bit I have just installed a 150w interverter in my work van. Now my question is if I wire it direct to the battery (it has a cig lighter plug at the moment) will it draw any power from the battery when it is switched off at the 240v end. should I at the 12v end fit a relay with a switch.

Hi BJ, not knowing what brand you have, but if the switch is on the 12 volt input then once the switch is turned off, there should be no power draw at all and you shouldn't need anything else.
