I have an 89 model SWB WT 1.3 and I find it has alot of the best parts factory and compatible with every after market bit I have wanted so far. I think anything after 88.5 but before the coilys is a good thing.

i rekon model just before the coily would be the best.

they have the most stuff for them and look the best out of the wide track leaf sprung models, you won't find a wide track long wheel base unless you go a maruti which might be harder for bits.

you don't want a narrow track or 1.0 for ease of parts

If I had the money I'd buy a narrow track on litre LWB and a SWB WT 1.3 and mix the two to make the ultimate zook.

 I have a 1.3 lwb on widetrack diffs. better to buy a 1.3 upfront as the 1l-1.3l conversion isn't bolt in and needs a body lift to clear the 5 speed.
