Post by built2redline »

i got a 96 mk triton that decided today not to change gears, it will go into any gear (5 speed man) with the motor off.

i thought the clutch fluid was the pulprit but after bleeding the clutch line, it hasnt made any difference. :x

It won't go into any gear with your foot on the clutch and motor running...... Is that right?

Does the gear lever physically move into the gear with the engine on or off?

Does it work if you put it in 1st then start it and operate it without a clutch?

You bleed it at the slave cylinder.... And the rod from the slave cylinder moves when someone puts their foot on clutch.....?

ok the lever was moving as it should, so i suspect that the slave cylinder is leaking or the pressure plate has collapsed and isnt allowing the clutch to disenguage
