spring over trouble
as you all prob know im doin a soa on my 75 ser cruiser im finding that im gettin SFA flex i have 3 leafs per pack in the rear?? what can i do?
Striping - y60 Ute Cab,most parts available,h260 rear diff,4.2 5speed/transfer etc Pm Me
Have you got longer shocks in there?
where is the problem? Front or the back? the back by the sound of it
1) Longer leaves, to get better artic
2) Increasing shackle angle
3) Try loosin the bolts a lil bit on the rear of the shackles and see if that healpes with the movement
4) It will never drop away like a A-frame, or a 5 link, however, you should be able get some good movment out of it.
5) try opening the spring pack retainers so the leaves can separate from the main leaf, however, you may have already done this with only having 3 leaves. (i have done this, however, i find that over time the leaves spread (not a huge amount, just 3mm)), resulting in the need to loosen the u-bolts and hammering them back into possition.)))
got any pics of the set up?
