I know I'm a bit "out of place" posting about a late model Suzuki, but I was wondering if anyone here has got one- and what they've done to "improve" it.
I know it's lacking in the suspension department and underbody protection area, so am after ideas.
I can take some more photos if you like.....I am about to go out and see waht the bloody banging noise is underneath when I drive it.....so I can get some photos then...

Have you done much underneath to protect under the engine- or does your bull bar go under far enough? The standard plastic tray is lame and a waste of time.

But an XL-7 is a stretched Vitara I thought maybe there would be some mechanical similarities?
A12 have you got pics/ details (apart from your signature )
Actually and XL-7 is a stretched Grand Vitara and the parts like arms and the like ( 5 link rear end in GV, 3 link Aframe in a Vitara )are different.
You can put coils and shocks/struts across but because of the weight difference stock GV stuff lifts a Vitara, so putting Vitara stuff in a GV should work the other way.
