Rear Disc conversion on a hilux

Hi, I want to change some Hilux rear drums to Disc's.....
What are you guys that have done it using?

I did mine using solid axle rotors and calipers. You have to machine the inside of the rotor out bigger so it will fit over the taper on the back side of the rear axle flange. You use front solid axle wheel stud because they are long enough to go through the rotor and axle flange. You will need to make a 3/8" wheel spacer because the shank on the stud doesn't thread down far enough. Make the caliper mount and your race ready. Doing it this way you will NOT have an emergency brake. But I use the All Pro drive shaft e-brake.
All Pro make a very nice rear disc brake setup.

As far as I know rodeo rotors should fit straight on and you have a choice of callipers to use , preferably one's with a hand brake mechanism , Cheers Paul.

These where the original calliper mounts but replaced them with one piece one's.

Otis has drums on the rear and I want to put on a tailshaft Handbrake and change over to disc's......its running a hilux rear end hence the question..

if you want diff hand brake go commodore, falcon, skyline ect any car with 4 wheel disk should do.

i'm pretty sure commodore and falcon run the handbrake inside the disk just as a drum brake works but could be wrong

There's a guy on Toymods who was selling a caliper bracket that allowed the fitment of MA70 supra discs IIRC.

Another option.

I think otis was a 4runner rear axle wasn't/isn't it? The prado's run a handbrake inside the disc and maybe a spring mount change might be easier than stuffing around with putting discs on a drum axle.
