strange power problems

Post by macklux83 »

hello,
i have just finished swapping over the engine in my 83 hilux and i have now got no power.
earlier today it was working with the key turned to ACC but if i turned it further everything went off, but now i have nothing at all.
if i turn my headlights on i can hear on of the relays near the fuse box at the drivers feet clicking very quickly.
any ideas what this could be as it is driving me crazy!
cheers
rob

yep earth to block is connected, another starnge thing is the the UHF which is connected to the cigarette lighter wire flickers on and off constantly with the key turned to ACC.
the only other thing i can think of that may have caused a problem is that its possible that the wire that connects to the starter motor may have shorted out somewhere...would that cause any problems like this?
i have checked all fuses and everything seems to be fine.
