Has anyone ever had any problems with these wearing out or anything similar?

front lower balljoints

Yeah I replaced the lower drivers side one early last year after a very heavy hit (unseen tree stump).
The drivers side had sagged so got the Pedders t/bars put on plus the lower balljoint, they said it was shagged from the hit along with the drivers side t/bar (had sagged 30mm).
It was a generic balljoint about $65 from Autobahn (genuine is around $100) but the grease nipple is slightly offset so I had to grind away a bit of the lower wishbone hole to get a grease gun onto it.
It did stop a lot of the front end squeeking though.

REDROCKET: Mine were fairly worn and had to be replaced prior to my roadworthy. Not dear though... And of course....shock.... ANOTHER idler arm... Did I mention that after our hoon through the forestry tracks I broke two engine mounts and a rear gearbox mount! I could not believe it!! Oh well...

Grant you gotta be kidding!!! Spose it was a tad bumpy and add that to the speed you were going i guess it happens but 3 in one go, what an effort. Well i not entirely sure if my bjs are worn or stuffed but i do know that the grease bag on both of them has been busted for ages now so i guess its not such a bad idea to swap in some new ones while i'm ripping apart the front end. Top ones are new from when i did the bj spacers. Need another idler arm as well but this one will have some work done to it before it goes onto the car . I will keep u all posted on the progress.
